My thoughts on the 2024 U.S Elections

First of all, thanks to all who checked up on me. I’m alright. Like many, I was disappointed at the outcome, but I can’t say I was surprised. Our country is still very much entrenched in racism, sexism, misogyny, hatred, division to mention a few. It’s a shame that we’re still entrenched in this in 2024. America doesn’t realize what it forfeited by not choosing Kamala Harris, but I have no doubt that she will be alright. She’s still the great woman leader she’s always been even though most didn’t have the foresight to see her greatness. I do want to address a few things.

First of all, to my white sisters, what happened? Because the betrayal of sisterhood is evidently real. Only 29% of white women voted for Kamala Harris in 2024. Very similar to 2016 when Hillary Clinton was the nominee. You have the right to vote for who you want but I can’t fathom why most of you would vote for someone who doesn’t value women as opposed to another woman who is fighting for our rights. I’m appalled that despite the things he’s said and done to women, Donald Trump was still your choice. I don’t even know how to make it make sense.

Secondly, to the African Americans that voted for Trump because you still ignorantly believe that he gave y’all a stimulus check. You all fell for the okey-doke. It was the democratic congress that was seated at the time that voted for that. He didn’t want to give you all anything but signed the checks as a publicity stunt because he knew that’s all you all would remember. To the ones that didn’t vote because the likes of Dr. Umar told you guys to withhold your vote until the government gives you something. Y’all are going to be waiting a mighty long while. At least with Kamala Harris, you would have had a listening ear. With this dude, there’s no chance in hell that he’s going to give anything to the African American community. Project 2025 is real. But honestly, how ignorant was Dr. Umar’s proposal? The government didn’t give African Americans anything during the fight for civil rights. African Americans, Whites and Jews with good hearts united together in the fight for equality to effect change. Then there are the likes of candace Owens who seem to think African Americans were better off during the times of Jim Crow. She wasn’t even born then so how would she know? That certainly isn’t the sentiment of African Americans who lived through it. Those were horrible times for African Americans. And honestly, it’s not that much different now. It’s just a bit more covert. The problem is that we got equality and got comfortable instead continuing the fight to remain equal and ultimately reap the full benefits of equality.

Lastly, to the body of Christ, The Ecclesia, The church. This group hurts my heart the most. I ask like Paul asked the Galatians, who has bewitched you? So much ignorance and lack of knowledge being spewed and most in this group don’t have enough of the word of God in them to be able to discern what is the Spirit of God, the intellect of man (regardless of how intelligent he may not be) and the flesh. A lot of believers are being led astray by the clanging cymbals who are rising up in the church. The Bible does talk about the church being deceived by false prophets in the end times and this is exactly what is happening. The leaders in the body of Christ basically took a fraction of women’s health and ran with it, touting that God hates abortion and those who commit abortions are murderers. You guys fell for the devil’s deception, hook, line and sinker. News flash, abortion is not the be it, end all if a woman doesn’t want to have a child. 90 % of pregnancies can be prevented. Birth control can prevent conception, so it never gets to the point of termination. Abortion is also a broad term and includes spontaneous abortions (miscarriages), abortions that are performed to save the life of the mother and those that are performed because of rape, incest etc. Women who have willful abortions are only a fraction and majority of them are not doing it at 9 months. Ignorance is not bliss, my friends. Another thing that church leaders ran with was saying that God would judge America if Kamala Harris won and that she was the anti-Christ. Another news flash, the anti-Christ can’t be a woman. go back and read the scriptures. Also, God’s judgment on a nation has more to do with what the people, especially those that are called by His name, do than 1 individual. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear and heal the land.” What the leaders in the body of Christ have unleashed in America with the re-election of Trump is Revelations 9:11. Go and read it. He is a destroyer and not the mercy of God. Proverbs 29: 2 says that when the righteous (those who have a heart that is right towards God, not those who seem to align with the right) lead, the people rejoice but when the wicked (those with a wicked heart) lead, the people mourn. I’m tired of hearing that God is in control and that God is on the throne. God is always on the throne, but the truth of the matter is that He gave earth to humanity and what happens on earth is our responsibility. If that wasn’t the case, Jesus wouldn’t have needed to be born into earth to save the world and we wouldn’t need to pray “thy kingdom come” or “thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” It would all be automatic because God is in control. My prayer for those in the Church is that they would get in tune with God and really get to know His voice, so they’re not easily led astray by the clanging cymbals.

I’ve said all I’m going to say on the issue. I hope you all marinate on these thoughts and get some revelation. The next 4 years are going to be bumpy. May God have mercy on all of us! SELAH!
