I’ve heard people say there’s more than one way to God. I beg to differ. I’ve even had people say to me “So well meaning people who don’t believe in Jesus are doomed?” Well yeah. Hosea 4:6 (NLT) says “(MY) People are destroyed because they don’t know or have no understanding of who God is.”

Let’s go back to the beginning. Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” From this scripture, Adam was created and eventually Eve. Genesis 3 gives us an account of how the relationship between Man and God was destroyed by the devil. From that point on, Man, through the various religions of the world have been trying to get back into fellowship with God. But the Bible says “Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sins” Based on this, God instituted the Tabernacle (you can read about it in Exodus 36:8 – exodus 40), where he would reside in the Holy of Holies & once a year, the priest would enter in with a blood offering & meet with God and then he would come out and tell people what God said but even this wasn’t enough because God also wanted fellowship with man so He came Himself as Jesus and became the eternal sacrifice that restored fellowship between God and man. In Matthew 27:50-51 It says the moment Jesus died, The veil (that covered the Holy of Holies) was torn in half from top to bottom symbolizing that humanity could now boldly approach the throne room of God without a go between (the priest & the blood of a goat) because of Jesus.  He became our eternal go between. When you understand what Jesus’ death on the cross means, you understand why He is the only way to God!
