When God created everyone of us he put a treasure of destiny and purpose in us.  A lot of us end up not fulfilling destiny because we keep giving the treasure that is us to those that don’t value that treasure! Consider the following scripture:

Matthew 7:6 (New international version)….”Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces”.

The scripture refers primarily to the gospel but God showed me that it refers to us as individuals too. As believers in Christ, we’re all valuable treasures to God and when we give ourselves to those that don’t value the treasure that’s us we end up getting hurt because they turn around and use that very thing that makes us “special and valuable” to God against us.

The world we live in today and the people in it are much like swine living in filth. Have you ever seen a pig in it’s natural abode? I don’t care how much you clean the pig or it’s pen, it always ends up filthy, now imagine throwing your finest Mikimoto pearls into that pen. The pigs have no clue what the value of pearls are so they trample it into dirt just like everything else and devour it. Another example to help put things in perspective is something a friend of mine said about the Lexus brand of cars in reference to himself. “If you don’t know what you’re looking at then you don’t know what it’s worth.” This is so true about us that believe in Christ. The world as it is right now can’t recognize the value of the treasure that is us and in us so they settle for trying to trample us in the filth that surrounds them and attack us.

Stop giving the treasure that is you to those who have no clue how precious and valuable you truly are. Ask God to send those that see the gift within and are called alongside of you to help you fulfill your destiny! It will make a world of difference in your life!
